Sitting on the bluffs overlooking the coastline, where the ocean meets the land. Rocky outcroppings, the sun glistening like a thousand diamonds sparkling out to the pale blue horizon. Wisps of clouds across the sky while the gentle sound of waves crash rhythmically against the sandy shore. The breeze lightly comes and goes, playing with the grasses, brilliant shades of green from the winter rains. My hair moves in the wind, the warmth of the sun on my face. I set an intention to come out here with my notepad and pen, open my heart and trust what words want to come from the reflections of nature and the unedited flow of truth from my heart.

The practice of sitting on the land, our great mother earth, in all her perfect beauty is the ancient place of solace. My mind rests, my breath deepens and my body releases into peace, into connection, into being, into listening. These ways I’ve learned, yet are already known deep within. To create sacred experiences through creating an intention, being in my own experience with all my senses alive and awake. To notice how nature reflects me back to myself and a story is created, my own story, yet a shared story with all of humanity.  We are all connected. This is medicine, this is healing, this is joy, this is the treasure of heaven on earth. My heart feels the love and support of community. The importance of sharing our stories and being deeply heard and seen. To be seen, heard, understood, accepted, loved, and belong, our true needs.

EarthWays is a way being in community with the earth, humans, our soul and sprit. A group of people called to gather and show up in trust and mutual support. To step out of the daily routine of our minds and choose a day, a weekend, a week to honor the transition and transformation in our lives or just to answer the intuitive knowing of the return to the wild. In the heartbreak, the rage, the injustice, the fear, the darkness, may we come together to support each other to connect so deeply to our hearts, natures wisdom, and our personal and collective stories. We are here, from my heart to the guides of EarthWays hearts to your heart, creating offerings to come together…. listen for your “YES!” ….and join us.

A poem inspired by an awakening with the water…

Water flowing

Down the mountain

Nature healing as it goes

Toward the oneness

Of the Ocean

As above so below

 

Waves are cleansing all its sins

Returning back where it begins

Its time the raindrops knew that they were water too

Separate form but still the same

Illusion scatters and remains

We are the force

Spiraling outward from its source

 

Disappearing into the clouds

Invisible, but all around

Heavy Air

Sweat on my skin

Purifying from within

 

And pregnant skies, they birth the storm

Another cycle is reborn

Lightening sticks the mountain top

From the peak we see the view

Lake of awareness reflects new

We are the force

Spiraling outward from its source

 

Waterfalls come crashing down

Energy, unleashed, unbound

Break through these dams

So we can see

The God in you, is the God in me
